Annie Get Your Gun follows the story of Annie Oakleyan excellent sharp shooter who was pitted against Buffalo Bill’s Wild West star Frank Butler in a competition. A turn of events leads to Annie being smitten with Frank before they face off. The sharp shooting showdown earns Annie an offer to join Buffalo Bills show. But will Annie and Franks budding romance find time to blossom amidst the rigors of living with a touring company?

The musical premiered on Broadway in May 1946, ran for 1,147 performances, and was revived in 1966. Like Buffalo Bills Wild West, Annie Get Your Gun also had local tours. In addition to musicals, the title also inspired concerts, films, and recordings.
