The Addams Family, as one of cinema’s most iconic families, has delivered countless stories and lessons for over 50 years. The most important one: family always comes first. That is why it is fitting to find Gomez Addams reminiscing about Fester, his older brother, who went missing when they were both young.

Gomez’s lawyer, Tully Alford, has found himself in the very dangerous predicament of owing money to loan shark and con artist Abigail Craven. Tully, who recognizes that Abigail’s adoptive son Gordon resembles Gomez’s long-lost brother, proposes to use him and infiltrate the Addams’ home in search of their secret vault, where they keep all their wealth.

They all attend a seance at the Addams’ family home, and as they try to contact Fester, Gordon introduces himself as the family’s long-lost member, with Abigail posing as German psychiatrist Dr. Greta Pinder-Schloss, and explains that Fester got lost in the Bermuda Triangle but is finally back after 25 years.

The Addams family is overjoyed to have Fester rejoin them after such a long time. Gomez decides to reclaim some of the lost time and takes his “brother” to watch movies in the vault. There, they have a chat where Gordon realizes that Gomez was jealous of his success with women, and that is what led to their dispute that ended in Fester’s disappearance.

However, Gomez begins to feel suspicious when “Fester” cannot recall certain important memories from their childhood. Morticia takes it upon herself to remind the family’s newest member that there is nothing that the Addams value more than family, and the vengeance runs deep in their blood against people who do them wrong. Fearing that the Addamses are realizing their scheme, Abigail, still posing as Dr. Greta Pinder-Schloss, tries to convince Gomez that it is all in his head.

In the meantime, Gordon grows closer to the family as he spends more time with them. He grows particularly fond of the children, Wednesday, and Pugsly. The next step in Abigail’s plan is to separate “Fester” from his family again, so they throw a big party, and they can sneak into the vault. Wednesday overhears their plan

On the other hand, Tully learns that as the older brother, Fester is the executor of the Addams estate. With the help of their neighbours, Judge George Womack, who is not particularly fond of their horrid antics, Tully gets a restraining order against the family, where he makes sure they can not get close to the house.

The Addams have no choice but to move to a hotel and get regular jobs. Morticia turns into a preschool teacher, Wednesday and Pugsley sell toxic lemonade, and Thing, the family’s pet hand, gets a job as a courier. Tully, Abigail, and Gordon keep trying to enter the vault but can not get past the booby traps. Morticia, unable to adjust to her new way of living and tired of seeing her husband sad, decides to go back to the mansion and confront Gordon, but instead, they decide to capture her so she can help them get past the traps. Thing finds out and immediately tells Gomez, who rushes back to the home to help his wife.

When Gomez arrives, Abigail uses the opportunity to threaten Morticia’s life if they do not open the vault. Gordon, who has had enough of his mother’s antics, turns against her and uses a magical book to unleash a hurricane on the house. This launches Tully and Abigail out of the window and strikes Gordon’s head with lightning.

It is only after being struck by lightning that Gordon remembers he is, in fact, Fester, and that he was lost in the Bermuda Triangle. After suffering from amnesia, he was adopted by Abigail.

After recovering his memories, Fester and the rest of the Addams Family enjoy the horror holiday together.
