Christmas Carol

Christmas Carol

To emphasize the bitter cold that envelopes Scrooge’s city and workplace, we have backdrops that depict snow-laden trees and streets. We also have various backdrops depicting the different places that Scrooge will visit on his journey with each ghost, including an image of a tenement that can serve as the home of Tiny Tim’s family.

The musical A Christmas Carol was first shown at the Paramount Theater in Madison Square Garden on December 1, 1994. The production was staged there annually until December 2003. In 2004, Hallmark Entertainment produced a TV adaptation of the musical for NBC.

Based on A Christmas Carol, the heartwarming 1843 novella by Charles Dickens, the musical shows the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge as he is hounded by the spirit of his sole friend and business partner, Jacob Marley, and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. On the last 3 nights before Christmas, the 3 ghosts take Scrooge on a short journey that will, hopefully, change his outlook in life before it is too late for him and the people in his community.
