Olios

Grosh Backdrops and Drapery offers a fine selection of olio backdrops for your theatrical and vaudeville performances.

Popular during the heyday of vaudeville from the 1880s to the 1930s, olios were typically canvas curtains that were attached at the bottom with a tube. An olio drop, also called an olio curtain, roll drop, or simply an olio is designed with colorful murals or paintings. Olios became a popular stage element in vaudeville acts and variety entertainment shows because of their simplicity and ease of use.

At Grosh, we have several olio backdrops that feature different designs. Our products include olio curtains portraying late 19th- and early 20th-century advertisements as well as an olio inspired by the musical High Button Shoes.

Once you have chosen an olio curtain to rent, order online or you call our backdrop consultants at 877-363-7998 if you need any assistance. We also encourage you to send us a message through our contact page for other inquiries.
